Dr. Ravi Zacharias referenced Rev. David Brainerd,
among others, whose ministries were intense and short in his eulogy for Dr. Nabeel Qureshi.
At Bridge Street Cemetery in Northampton MA, where Rev. David Brainerd is buried, I reflected on God’s love and provision for Nabeel and David at the burial site.
The second stone is Jonathan and Sarah Edward’s daughter, Jerusha, who was David’s fiancée and tended him in his strenuous illness and suffering from tuberculosis. Jerusha died fairly soon after, so the Edwards buried their daughter with the love of her life, David Brainerd.
Two great stories; two great Christian men. Let us also be mindful of the wonderful women who loved them. Praying for Nabeel’s wife, Michelle Qureshi and their daughter, Ayah.
