Contrasts are an undeniable part of life that cannot be ignored. How do we deal with the stark reality of contrasts that do not bring peace and goodwill to earth, of which the angels sing through the birth of the Christ Child? A poignant, self-revealing look at the contrasts of Christmas help us to understand its inner meaning and how it can inspire us to make a significant difference in the world around us today, as we chase an elusive peace that never seems to appear, as evil rears its ugly face time and again. Yet, we must not lose hope that we will ever see the beautiful world that God intended, filled with peace. One day, all our hopes and dreams for peace will be realized, as we persevere in hope-filled faith. Let us continue to sing the angels’ chorus for peace and goodwill on earth.
