CHRISTIAN DEVOTIONAL POEMS, MIRIAM JACOB

ONE DAY AT A TIME – Miriam Jacob

Let us take one day at a time,

Let us look at JESUS and be comforted.

HE is our reason for living.

In HIM, we live and move and have our being.

If not for JESUS, there would be no meaning in our lives.

It would be a dark, bleary existence.

But JESUS makes all the difference in our lives.

Because of HIM, we smile.

CHRISTIAN DEVOTIONAL POEMS

A SONG I LOVE

“Never made a fortune,
It’s probably too late now.
Oh, I don’t worry about that much,
Coz I’m happy anyhow,
As I go along life’s journey,
I’m reaping better than I sowed.

I’m drinking from my saucer,
Coz my cup has overflowed.

Ain’t got a lot of riches ,
Sometimes, the going’s rough,
But I’ve got a friend in Jesus,
And that makes me rich enough.

I thank God for all His blessings on me,
And the mercy He’s bestowed.

I’m drinking from my saucer,
Coz my cup has overflowed

Oh! Sure,I’ve been through some storms,
And yes, I’m sure there were times my faith must have got a little faint,
But you know what it seemed like?
One day, all at once, those dark clouds broke,
And you know what, the sun, all at once, she started shining,
So, Lord, help me not to complain
About the tough roads.

And if I should go on living,
If the way gets steep and tough,
I won’t ask for other blessings,
Coz I’m already blessed enough.

May I never be too busy
To help another bear his load,
I keep drinking from my saucer, Lord,
Coz my cup has overflowed.”

ASSURANCE

ASSURANCE

May Jesus assure you that as you follow Him–
you will never meet a fear He cannot conquer;
you will never face an enemy He cannot defeat;
you will never enter a battle He cannot win;
you will never have a need He cannot meet;
you will never face a temptation He cannot overcome;
you will never have a burden He cannot lift;
you will never face a problem He cannot solve;
you will never have a bondage He cannot break;
you will never have a moment when He does not care;
you will never have a time when He is not there.
